Job description

Job Description:

  1. Pay is $30 - $34 per hour based on experience.
  2. 6-month assignment with the potential to extend based on need and performance.
  3. Fully remote role.
  4. Review contract intake forms and work with procurement owners to obtain any missing information.
  5. Determine contracting requirements based upon assigned request.
  6. Ability to review historical contract information to assess current contracting requirements.
  7. Draft needed contract language based on templates and critical clauses.
  8. Working knowledge and negotiation expertise of key contract terms and how to negotiate such clauses.
  9. Participate in and lead Supplier negotiation calls.
  10. Draft, review, redline and negotiate Master Service Agreements, Software as a Service Agreement, Amendments, Termination Letters, Confidential Disclosure Agreements, Licensing Agreements within Indirect Procurement Categories.
  11. Collaborate with Indirect Procurement category owners to meet contracting needs.
  12. Collaborate with Sourcing Procurement partners to meet and understand contracting needs.
  13. Liaise with legal, internal subject matter experts & suppliers in negotiations until fully executed.
  14. Ensure timely completion of required assessments (Privacy, Cybersecurity, Pharmacovigilance), as applicable.
  15. Build strong relationships and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and quality execution of all assigned projects.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S.) is required.
  2. Paralegal degree from ABA accredited program preferred.
  3. Law firm experience is preferred.
  4. Minimum of 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry or related fields.
  5. Experience with contracting in a pharma environment.
  6. Experience reviewing, redlining, and negotiating contracts such as Master Service Agreements, Software as a Service Agreement, Statements of Work, Project Agreements, Order Forms, Amendments, Confidential Disclosure Agreements, and Termination Letters.
  7. Demonstrated high level of competence with computers is essential.
  8. Extensive experience with MS Office Applications is required.
  9. Extensive experience using track changes to redline documents.
  10. Must be able to work and demonstrate success in developing effective solutions to complex problems.
  11. Demonstrate success in establishing successful working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external key stakeholders.
  12. Must be a dependable self-starter.
  13. Must be capable of working independently on multiple projects with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  14. Must possess excellent organization skills and be able to operate effectively in a heavily metricized organization, where a demanding workload requires balancing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  15. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal interaction skills.
  16. Must be able to manage significant contract request volume, with cyclical ramp-ups.
  17. Familiarity with spin-off environment is useful.
  18. Familiarity with the concept of bifurcation is useful.
  19. Strong negotiation skills are essential.
