The City Attorney’s Office of Orlando seeks an experienced paralegal to provide paraprofessional, legal support and case management for attorneys in the Civil Litigation Section. The role emphasizes independence in handling a diverse caseload and drafting pleadings.

Paralegal I/II positions require appropriate degrees and experience; in-person, 8AM-5PM schedule, with no remote work eligibility. Salary based on qualifications and experience.

Formación

• Associate degree required; two years experience as Legal Assistant or Paralegal in general civil area.
• Paralegal II requires four years relevant paralegal experience in a law or judicial office in general civil.
• Must demonstrate the ability to type at least 35 words per minute.
• Minimum qualifications listed in the position description must be met.

Responsabilidades

• Provide paraprofessional legal support and case management for attorneys in Civil Litigation.
• Draft pleadings and conduct all aspects of discovery.
• Experience in insurance defense litigation and state/federal courts is a plus.
• Paralegals work under the supervision of litigation attorneys.

Educación

Associate's Degree in Legal Services or related field
