Job ID#: 31017. Our client, a leading litigation firm, is adding a Litigation Paralegal. Hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities
- Obtain, review, and analyze documents, including medical records, financial records, tax and employment records, and other relevant documents/information.
- Research and analysis of case issues, including incident facts, and party and witness background information.
- Perform social media and background searches.
- Draft/coordinate written discovery and document production and expert discovery.
- Compile evidence and supporting information by searching records, discovery documents, transcripts, libraries, and databases.
- Track all discovery and pleadings deadlines.
- Correspond with clients and opposing law firms.
- Communicate issues with experts; investigate qualifications and experience, including prior transcripts, testimony, and articles.
- Coordinate inspections.
- Correspond/coordinate with investigators.
- Coordinate with support services and clients, opposing law firms, and courts.
- Generate status reports, logs, and indices.
- Trial preparation, including trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness files; trial logistics; trial attendance (may require travel).
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in catastrophic personal injury/wrongful death defense.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program or substantial equivalent experience in catastrophic personal injury/wrongful death defense will be considered in lieu of education.
- Above-average proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong analytical skills; advanced oral and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with an ability to work in a high-volume office and team environment.
