Job summary

Gertsburg Licata is seeking a highly organized, motivated, and adaptable Generalist Paralegal to support attorneys across multiple practice areas. This role will assist with substantive legal tasks, client communications, litigation support, document preparation, and administrative functions.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or Associate's degree or equivalent legal experience.
• Experience supporting multiple attorneys and handling diverse legal matters.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to prioritize and work independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and organize legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, discovery requests, and correspondence across practice areas.
• Conduct legal research and draft summaries to support case strategy and attorney preparation.
• Assist attorneys with case management, calendar deadlines, and court filings.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors.
• Coordinate client intake, document collection, case updates, and scheduling.
• Organize and manage case files, exhibits, discovery materials, and reference databases.
• Assist with trial preparation, mediation sessions, and transactional closings as needed.
• Maintain calendars for deadlines, hearings, meetings, and docketing.
