Job summary

Blitt and Gaines, P.C. is a leading debt collection law firm seeking a Paralegal to prepare standard legal documents, assist with discovery responses, and support attorneys with administrative tasks.

Experience in collections or creditors’ rights is a plus; paralegal certification or degree is preferred. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook (WordPerfect a plus) and strong attention to detail are desirable for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in collections or creditors’ rights is a plus.
• ABA-approved paralegal certification or an associate degree in paralegal studies is a plus.
• Familiarity with statutes, court procedures and regulations is helpful.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook; WordPerfect a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize legal documents including discovery pleadings and affidavits.
• Assist with discovery responses, compile exhibits, and support trial prep.
• Compile and organize trial or hearing exhibits.
• Assist with e-filing and maintain records in the document system.
• Track deadlines and monitor case progress.

Education

ABA-approved paralegal certification
