Job summary

Ghafari Associates is seeking a Paralegal/Legal Assistant to administer construction contracts, prepare and review revisions, and assist in litigation and claims management.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in Paralegal Studies (bachelor preferred), paralegal certification, at least 5 years of experience, and strong verbal/written communication with meticulous attention to detail; AIA Contract software experience a bonus.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Paralegal Studies required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred.
• Paralegal certification required.
• At least 5 years of paralegal/legal assistant experience.
• AEC company experience a bonus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Litigation and claims support: Coordinate responding to discovery requests and document production.
• Interact with outside counsel and support General Counsel on litigation and claims.
• Contract administration: Process, review and coordinate contracts, amendments, exhibits and correspondence.
• Create subconsultant agreements and track contract status for compliance with Ghafari requirements.
• Research information related to foreign registration and annual report, state licensure and company authorizations.
