Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking an entry-level Paralegal to process electronic legal instruments, assist with trial prep and hearings, and provide general legal support for a large federal agency. You will work within the Legal Support department, gain exposure to litigation workflows, and help prepare demonstratives and data reports.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, solid written and oral communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and the ability to read and follow directions.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Two-year undergraduate degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide Apprentice examination of legal instruments.
• Review legal instruments (completeness of information, proper execution).
• Provides direct support to Litigation Support Unit, attorneys and paralegals regarding functional and administrative duties as needed.
• Determine correctness of action (per Government regulations, procedures, etc).
• Research records to ascertain conditions that might preclude action.
• Assist with processing data and evidence for cases and discovery productions.
• Assist with the preparation of trial and hearing presentations and demonstratives.
• Collects and compiles statistical data for various reports.
