Job summary

Washington State Office of the Attorney General seeks a permanent, full-time Paralegal 2 in the Regional Services Division, located in Kennewick, Washington. The role is represented by the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE) and open to current permanent employees of the AGO.

The position provides litigation support in juvenile matters, supervises Paralegal 1 staff, and collaborates across counties.

Qualifications

• Combination of 4 years of experience through:
• Paralegal certification or two-year paralegal degree.
• Paralegal plus (or nine-month paralegal, post BA) certification,
• Paraprofessional experience in support of an attorney.
• OR One year experience as a Paralegal 1 in Washington State Service.
• *You may have gained applicable paraprofessional experience through previous Paralegal or Legal Assistant work.

Responsibilities

• Provide litigation support in juvenile litigation cases for the Department of Child, Youth and Families.
• Supervise Paralegal 1s.
• In-person supervision of assigned professional staff is desired.
• Work across multiple venues including Benton, Franklin, Garfield, Walla Walla, and Columbia Counties and at the Office of Administrative Hearings.
