Job summary

The State of Washington, Office of the Attorney General in Spokane, is seeking a permanent full-time Paralegal 1 in the Multidivisional Legal Services Section. The role supports Assistant Attorneys General in civil and appellate matters, preparing for trial and handling court filings.

The base pay ranges from $56,952 to $76,608 annually, with possible adjustments for internal equity and candidate experience. Excellent benefits and telework options are provided where feasible.

Qualifications

• Combination of three years of experience through: Paralegal certification.
• Two-year paralegal degree.
• Paralegal plus (or nine-month paralegal, post BA) certification.
• Paraprofessional experience in support of an attorney.
• Knowledge of paralegal processes and procedures.
• Experience in all components of trial preparation.
• Experience in state and federal courts filing procedures.
• Utilization of court systems, i.e., Odyssey, JIS/JABS.
