Higgs Fletcher & Mack LLP, founded in 1939, is a premier San Diego law firm with 70+ attorneys across 20+ practice areas. The firm seeks an experienced paralegal/support professional to provide administrative and litigation support in a fast-paced civil litigation environment.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of civil litigation experience, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with state and federal court procedures. Hybrid work in Little Italy, San Diego, CA.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of civil litigation experience is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities are required.
• Strong understanding of civil procedure in state and federal courts.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to attorneys in our civil litigation practice group.
• Demonstrate knowledge of civil procedure in state and federal courts, including local rules and filing deadlines
• Review and organize employment-related documents
• Coordinate expert witnesses to support case development and testimony
• Draft pleadings, motions, petitions, settlement agreements, declarations, and correspondence
• Prepare written discovery, discovery outlines, and deposition materials
• Manage subpoenas and deposition scheduling
• Maintain case files and manage electronic documents using Eclipse and other platforms
• Provide administrative support, including scanning, emailing, and organizing legal materials

Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or a Paralegal Certificate (preferred)
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation, transportation and/or personal injury practice group.
• Strong understanding of court procedures, legal terminology, and civil litigation principles
• Strong administrative skills and high attention to detail
• Professional appearance and effective communication with clients and co-workers
• Proficiency in legal software such as iManage, Compulaw, Forms Workflow, Westlaw, and/or other comparable programs is a must

Schedule: Monday to Friday Work Location: Hybrid in Little Italy, San Diego, CA 92101 Compensation: $80,000-$120,000 (Depending on experience)
