Job summary

Heyl Royster seeks a qualified Paralegal for full-time work based in Peoria or Edwardsville, IL. The role supports a high-volume civil litigation practice with emphasis on organizing files, deadlines, and discovery, and requires strong communication and teamwork.

The base pay range is $22.00–$28.00 per hour, with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life/ADD, disability coverage, a 401K match, paid vacation and holidays. Hybrid work may be available after six months.

Heyl Royster is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Paralegal position to be based in our Peoria or Edwardsville offices*:

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of General Civil litigation
• Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work in a high-volume legal practice
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Exceptional analytical and reasoning skills
• Ability to manage case files, deadlines, and discovery

QUALIFICATIONS TO BE A PARALEGAL:

• Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate is required
• A minimum of one (1) year civil litigation experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with electronic document management systems is required

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The base pay range is $22.00 to $28.00 an hour. The pay offered will take into account several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications/credentials, talent availability and specialization, as well as business needs. The range may be modified in the future.
