Ameriprise Financial is seeking a Paralegal to support Columbia Threadneedle Investments’ registered investment companies. Under attorney supervision, you will handle ongoing legal and regulatory activities, including drafting and filing post-effective amendments and SAIs, and coordinating input from multiple business lines and outside counsel.

The role requires an Associates degree with paralegal certification or equivalent, plus 1–3 years of experience, in a hybrid in-office/remote

This position will focus primarily on supporting the Columbia Threadneedle Investments registered investment companies. Under the direction of an attorney, responsible for performing on-going legal and regulatory related activities with respect to the registered investment companies.**Key Responsibilities:*** Coordinates the creation, updating, and filing of registration statement post-effective amendments containing prospectuses and statements of additional information (SAIs) (including annual updates and supplements thereto) and other disclosure documents required by the Investment Company Act of 1940 (\"1940 Act\"), Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.* Solicits and coordinates input to disclosure documents from business lines (including product, marketing, fund administration, compliance and investment personnel), outside counsel and outside accountants.* Responsibilities may also include providing legal and regulatory support for Columbia Threadneedle Investments’ investment advisory business, including those relating to: (i) the collective investment trusts; (ii) compliance with existing and new SEC regulations; (iii) various Ameriprise Financial entities and their related products or investments; and (iv) corporate governance matters.* The Paralegal will work closely with other members of Asset Management Legal in the General Counsel’s Organization, as well as members of the firm’s various lines of business.* The position would be part of a team of lawyers and paralegals supporting Columbia Threadneedle Investments.**Required Qualifications:*** Associates degree plus paralegal certificate or equivalent experience.* One to three years’ relevant experience.* Ability to interpret, analyze and apply legal requirements applicable to registered investment companies.* Mature, professional demeanor.* Strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to successfully manage several ongoing assignments.* Excellent communication, interpersonal, writing and problem-solving skills.* Dedicated team player.**Preferred Qualifications:*** Bachelor's degree* Experience supporting an asset management business is preferred**In-Office Collaboration**We are a client-centric, relationship-based business.
