Job summary

Parallon, a part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Paralegal to provide legal support to the Parallon Business Performance Group Legal Team, conducting research, drafting documents, managing databases, and handling administrative duties.

This role reports to Managing Counsel and collaborates with the Legal Team and business partners to ensure efficient operations. It requires 5+ years of experience, Paralegal certification preferred, and is remote within 60 miles of an HCA hospital.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• College degree preferred; Paralegal certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal assistance including drafting documents.
• Manage databases and conduct legal research.
• Provide administrative support to the Parallon Legal Team.
• Assist HIM, ROI, and privacy matters as needed.
• Support litigation case management and document routing.
• Maintain and update workflows and databases.

Key Interactions

This position interacts with members of the Parallon Legal Team, business subject matter experts, legal staff at the Shared Services Centers, other Parallon affiliates and at HCA Corporate Legal.

Duties

• Assist counsel with HIM, ROI and privacy matters
• Assist litigation counsel with case management
• Correspondence and other document drafting
• Legal research and writing
• Document and contract routing
• Assist in maintaining and updating workflows and databases
• Basic contract drafting, review and analysis
• Organize files for storage
• Full administrative support including, answering phones, scheduling meetings and conference calls, setting up and maintaining files, and databases, filing, responding to e-mails, and extensive telephone and e-mail contact with Parallon and HCA staff, travel arrangements, reimbursement filings, and similar activities
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) required
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both from a management perspective, as well as for working with internal clients and external parties
• Proven ability to manage simultaneously a high volume of projects

Education

• College graduate preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE

• Paralegal certification preferred.
