Compensation:$28-40 hourly, plus benefits

We are looking for a driven and experienced Immigration Paralegal to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business immigration law and the ability to manage and prepare complex cases with minimal supervision.

At De Wit Immigration Law, paralegals are our connection to the client. You will engage directly with people seeking U.S. investment visas, addressing their inquiries, preparing necessary documents for their applications, performing various writing tasks, and maintaining high levels of organization. All work is conducted through different platforms, enhancing efficiency and speeding up tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and file a variety of business immigration applications, including TN, H-2B, H-1B, L-1, O-1, E-2, EB-1, PERM and EB-5
  • Draft support letters and other legal documents and prepare signature-ready application packages
  • Liaise with clients to collect necessary information and provide ongoing case updates.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date case files and tracking systems.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with immigration deadlines and requirements.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for interviews, hearings, and other proceedings.
  • Manage subordinate legal assistants, providing guidance and oversight
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in business immigration law; 6+ years of experience strongly preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of immigration procedures and documentation.
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in Spanish isrequired.
