Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or Certificate in legal studies or 5 years of equivalent litigation paralegal experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of litigation experience as a personal injury paralegal.
  • Thorough knowledge of legal principles, legal research techniques, legal terminology, and government regulations.
  • Excellent drafting, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to manage multiple tasks independently.

Responsibilities

  • Process assigned claims in accordance with Firm policies and procedures.
  • Manage all aspects of litigation case progression, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and court filings.
  • Prepare and finalize settlement documentation and assist with trial preparation.

POSITION SUMMARY

A personal Injury Litigation Specialist provides comprehensive legal support to Personal Injury Litigation Attorneys. This position manages complex litigation matters and serves as a key liaison between attorneys, clients, and opposing counsel. This role requires the ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail while embodying and implementing GGRM's values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Processing assigned claims in accordance with Firm policies and procedures
  • Ensuring case management software (CMS) feed is cleared daily
  • Completing all assigned tasks by relevant deadlines
  • Documenting all relevant activity in CMS properly
  • Ensuring emails are cleared daily
  • Managing all aspects of litigation case progression, including drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses, maintaining litigation chains, and ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
  • Preparing and finalizing settlement documentation, auditing subrogation liens, drafting minor’s compromise documents, obtaining proof of blocked accounts, and submitting required court filings.
  • Supporting trial preparation by organizing trial notebooks, preparing exhibit lists and trial exhibits, managing witness schedules and preparation, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring all trial materials and technology are ready.
  • Assisting attorneys during trial by handling real-time document and exhibit management, coordinating with courtroom staff, supporting jury selection, and maintaining trial calendars and records.
  • Handling pre-trial and post-trial documentation by drafting memoranda, proposed jury instructions, post-trial filings, and documenting outcomes and key rulings.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients and stakeholders by conducting monthly meaningful client communications, guiding clients through the litigation process, and serving as the primary point of contact for assigned cases.
  • Communicating professionally with insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, medical providers, expert witnesses, court personnel, and internal team members to move cases forward efficiently.
  • Mentoring Litigation Assistants, participating in strategy meetings with attorneys and the department, contributing to process improvements, and supporting firm-wide initiatives.
  • Coordinating trial logistics by arranging court reporters, setting up video depositions, managing war room setup and supplies, and ensuring expert witnesses and technology are prepared.
  • Maintaining composure and organization in high-pressure trial settings, effectively managing trial technology platforms, presentation materials, and exhibit tracking.
  • Assisting Pre-Litigation as needed.
  • Performing other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's Degree or Certificate program in legal studies, or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent training and experience as a litigation paralegal
  • A minimum of one year of litigation experience as a personal injury paralegal
  • Thorough knowledge of legal principles, legal research techniques, legal terminology, and government regulations
  • Excellent legal drafting, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment such as a copy machine, fax machine, printer, scanner, computer
  • Ability to work with databases and online technological platforms
  • Ability to be detail-oriented, diligent, and flexible
  • Ability to handle conflicting time demands and focus on task completion with little direction or need for supervisory follow-up
  • Proficient command of the English language in both oral and written format
  • Ability to work and maintain patience with diversified individuals of various backgrounds and professional competencies

ONBOARDING TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • This position requires participation in a two-week, on-site onboarding and new hire training program held in Las Vegas, NV at 2770 S. Maryland Pkwy, Ste 100, Las Vegas, NV 89109. All travel expenses, including lodging and per diem, are covered by GGRM.
