Responsibilities

• Conducts administrative law hearings for TEA, SNAP and Medicaid benefits under state and federal laws, regulations and agency policies.
• Rules on in-hearing motions, objections and requests.
• Determine credibility of witnesses and documentary evidence and find facts in each hearing.
• Analyze applicable statutory and case law.
• Synthesize fact situations with laws and agency policies and issue a proposed written decision.
• Review case files to prepare for hearings, ensure correct docketing and proper mail notices.

Job Description

• 5. Synthesize fact situation at hand with state and federal laws and regulations and Agency policies and issues a proposed written decision.
• 6. Review case files to prepare for hearings ensuring issues are correctly docketed, notices are correctly mailed, and to develop potential lines of questioning.
