Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of paralegal experience.
  • Knowledge of estate and tax planning, business law, and/or real estate law.
  • Strong analytical, legal research, and writing skills.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication with clients, attorneys, and contacts.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (Clio preferred) and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to manage caseloads and meet client objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and exceptional service.
  • Research statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other sources; provide written analysis to attorneys.
  • Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files.
  • Investigate facts and laws; search public records to prepare cases and determine causes of action.
  • Prepare and process estate planning, real estate, and business-related documents with accuracy.
  • File documents such as formation applications, deeds, and IRS forms.
  • Utilize and maintain the law firm client database (Clio).
  • Track status of client projects and maintain organizational systems.

Aevitas Law is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and service-minded Paralegal to join our Lancaster office.

In this role, you will work closely with attorneys, fellow paralegals, and support staff to manage caseloads, support clients, and help drive the success of the entire team.

The ideal candidate will combine strong legal knowledge and research skills with the organizational ability and client-focused mindset needed to excel in a dynamic law firm environment.

What You Will Do
In this role, you will:
  • Meet and collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to effectively manage caseloads and meet client objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and exceptional service.
  • Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provide written analysis to attorneys.
  • Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files.
  • Investigate facts and laws of cases and search public records and other resources to prepare cases and determine causes of action.
  • Prepare and process estate planning, real estate, and business-related documents, including wills and powers of attorney, operating agreements, business and real estate transfer documents, and more, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • File documents such as business formation applications and amendments, deeds, and IRS applications.
  • Utilize and maintain the law firm client database (Clio).
  • Track the status of client projects and maintain organizational systems to keep project momentum.
  • Set appointments for attorneys, prepare client correspondence, and communicate promptly and professionally with clients and outside contacts.
  • Notarize documents when needed.
What Will Help You Succeed
We are looking for someone who:
  • Brings 3-5+ years of paralegal experience.
  • Has an understanding of estate and tax planning, business law, and/or real estate law.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical, legal research, and writing skills.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally - in writing, by telephone, and in person - with clients, attorneys, and outside contacts.
  • Is comfortable with CRM software (Clio preferred) and has a strong working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Handles confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Can manage changing priorities and strict deadlines while maintaining a calm, organized, and client-focused presence.
  • Takes initiative, leads by example, and brings a positive, "can-do" attitude to every task.
  • Is dependable, punctual, and committed to providing excellent service to clients and the team.
