Job summary

Maron Marvel Bradley Anderson & Tardy seeks an entry-level paralegal to join our team. Ideal for a recent graduate with a paralegal certificate or degree, eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced litigation environment.

You will work closely with experienced attorneys and paralegals, developing essential research, case management, and document preparation skills while supporting discovery, pleadings, and trial preparation.

Qualifications

• Completion of a paralegal certificate program or an associate's/bachelor’s degree in Paralegal studies or related field.
• Internship/externship or academic experience in legal research, document prep or litigation support is a plus.
• Familiarity with litigation procedures, court filings or insurance defense is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys and senior paralegals with day-to-day litigation support and case management.
• Draft, review, proofread, and format routine legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and discovery materials under supervision.
• Organize and maintain case files (electronic and physical).
• Collect, organize, and review documents from various sources.
• Conduct basic legal and factual research and document searches as directed.
• Assist with reviewing and summarizing medical records, deposition transcripts, and discovery materials.
• Support case preparation, including discovery and trial prep.
• Track deadlines, maintain calendars, and organize litigation materials.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure accurate, efficient work.
• Perform additional administrative and litigation support duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will work closely with experienced attorneys and paralegals, gaining practical exposure to various stages of the litigation process while developing essential legal research, case management, and document preparation skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys and senior paralegals with day‑to‑day litigation support and case management activities.
• Draft, review, proofread, and format routine legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and discovery materials under attorney supervision.
• Assist with organizing and maintaining case files, including electronic and physical documents.
• Collect, organize, and review documents and information from various sources.
• Conduct basic legal research, factual research, and document searches as directed by attorneys.
• Assist with reviewing and summarizing medical records, deposition transcripts, discovery documents, and other case‑related materials.
• Support attorneys and paralegals with case preparation throughout the litigation process, including discovery and trial preparation.
• Assist with tracking case deadlines, maintaining calendars, and organizing litigation materials.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff to ensure assignments are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Perform additional administrative and litigation support duties as assigned.

Skills:

• Foundational understanding of legal terminology, legal research, and litigation procedures acquired through a paralegal certificate or degree program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, colleagues, and clients.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Requirements:

• Completion of a paralegal certificate program or an associate's or bachelor’s degree in Paralegal studies, Legal Studies, or a related field required.
• Internship, externship, or academic experience involving legal research, document preparation, or litigation support is a plus.
• Familiarity with litigation procedures, court filings, or insurance defense through coursework or internships is preferred but not required.
