Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Paralegal role located in Alexandria, LA. The Paralegal will assist attorneys by preparing and organizing legal documents, drafting correspondence, and managing case files across various practice areas. Daily responsibilities include conducting legal and factual research, reviewing and summarizing documents, and supporting discovery and trial preparation. The role involves coordinating with internal teams and external parties, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely filing of pleadings and other legal materials. The Paralegal will also support ongoing litigation and administrative matters, contributing to efficient case management and high-quality legal work.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Law, with knowledge of legal principles and procedures applicable to civil, criminal, and administrative matters.
  • Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, affidavits, and correspondence.
  • Effective Communication skills for interacting with attorneys, staff, courts, and external stakeholders, both in writing and verbally.
  • Advanced Research capabilities, including legal research using online databases and public records, and the ability to synthesize findings.
  • Attention to detail in Document Review, with the ability to identify key information, inconsistencies, and compliance issues.
  • Associate's degree or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program; a bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple matters and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and legal case management tools; experience in government or public sector legal work is a plus.
