Ahschools is seeking a Paraeducator Supplemental Programs – Highly Qualified to support at-risk students with reading and math under licensed staff direction. This part-time position is 184 days/3 hours per day and can be filled after the posting period.

Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent and must have either 60 credits/associate's degree or passed ParaEducator/ParaPro exam. Good communication and physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds are required.

Paraeducator Supplemental Programs- Highly Qualified

Part-Time 184 days/3 hrs/day

This position can be filled after a 5-day posting period.

Duties

• Work under the direction of a licensed staff memberto provide supplemental reading and math support to at-risk students.
• May also provide social/emotional behavioral supportto at-risk students.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be physically working in the building.
• Candidates must have completed60 semester/90 quarter credits orobtained an associate's degree (or higher)from a regionally accredited institutionorhave passed the ParaEducator exam or ParaPro exam. (Documentation will be required)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability/desire to work with technology and computers. Ability to work cooperatively with students and staff. Ability to supervise students. Ability to take direction. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.

Rate of Pay

• $20.00/hour to $23.00/hour DOQ with K-12 experience
• $21.15/hour to $24.15/hour with AA/AAS degree or 60 semester/90 quarter credits from a regionallyaccreditedinstitution, DOQ with K-12 experience
• $22.00/hour to $25.00/hour with BA degree from a regionally accreditedinstitution, DOQ with K-12 experience
