Job summary

Adams 12 Five Star Schools seeks a dedicated instructional assistant to support students in Specialized Programs, including academic assistance, behavior monitoring, and life-skills support. The role includes helping students with health and daily routines and assisting with class transitions and bus stops.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a willingness to work with students with significant needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work with students with significant needs (training opportunities provided).

Responsibilities

• Provide support in general education setting in order for students to fully participate in class activities; tutoring, adapting work, monitoring and enforcing social and acceptable behavior; assist with testing/assessments and data collection.
• Assist with daily routines and health-related tasks for students, including mobility and personal care.
• Support implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and related behavior/modification plans.
• Utilize CPI/Safety Care techniques and safety monitoring as needed.
