We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our educational institution as a Paraeducator Pre-Apprentice. In this position, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students while collaborating with the teaching staff to create a positive and engaging educational environment.

A benefit of this position is enrolling in the Utah Registered Apprenticeship Program for Teachers (U-RAPT), a new pathway for those seeking an educator license. U-RAPT pre-apprentices are eligible to receive up to $4,000 per year to cover college tuition, fees, and other instructional costs as funding permits.

Responsibilities

• Student Support:* Provide individualized and small group instruction to students. Monitor student behavior and ensure a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere. Support students during classroom activities, transitions, and independent work. Assist with personal care needs as required.
• Instructional Assistance:* Collaborate with the teacher to prepare and organize instructional materials. Implement lesson plans and activities under the teacher's supervision. Provide feedback to students to support their academic growth.
• Communication:* Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and other staff members. Keep accurate records of student progress and behavior.
• Professional Development:* Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and stay updated with current educational practices.
