An established educational institution is seeking a dedicated Paraeducator-Independence Facilitator to provide essential support in special education settings. Paraeducator-Independence Facilitator - 7 hrs/day (Special Ed./PC#253674)
Position Summary: Provides individual behavior intervention and medical support to students in classroom settings, assists individuals or small groups of students to enhance learning, and supports teachers with instruction and classroom management in special education and general education environments, including lunchrooms and play fields.

Employee Type: Full-Time
Salary: $19.83 - $26.21 per hour in 9 annual steps, based on experience (new hire maximum of step 5).
Location: Special Education
Hours: 7 hours/day; 5 days/week
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Employee Life Insurance available for employees working 4+ hours/day (Full district contribution for 6+ hours/day; 50% contribution for 4-5.99 hours/day).
Education and Experience: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of a competency assessment demonstrating knowledge in reading, writing, and mathematics. Alternatively, at least 48 college credit units may substitute for the assessment.
Licenses and Certifications: May require a valid driver’s license and a valid First Aid/CPR card. Compliance with district skill/competency requirements.
