Job summary

Marlborough Public Schools is seeking a paraeducator for PAWS Academy at Hildreth (K-8) in Marlborough, MA. This position supports students with special needs under supervision, providing academic, social, and behavioral assistance within a highly structured environment.

Starting date is immediate; salary is $24.40 per hour. Responsibilities include collaboration with teachers and staff to implement individualized supports and ensure a safe, positive learning atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, pass ParaPro test or 48 undergraduate credits.
• Bilingual preferred (Spanish/Portuguese) for EL Paras.
• Experience with children in a school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction and supervision in inclusion, small group, individual, or sub-separate settings under teachers or specialists.
• Follow provisions in students’ IEPs/504 Plans.
• Assist with test administration and data collection on student progress.
• Provide support including de-escalation and physical management per approved procedures.
• Attend trainings and maintain required certifications.
• Collaborate with staff to support student learning and behavior goals.
