Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s Degree or 72 quarter credits or ParaPro test required.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy school setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with assessment, curriculum implementation, student interactions, supervision and safety.
• Oversee student safety during recess, bus duty, hallway supervision, and related duties.
• Provide instructional support and tutoring in groups or one-on-one.
• Document student behavior and progress to aid in education plans.
• Follow board policies and stay updated on district procedures.
• Library or specialized paraeducator duties may be assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Associate’s Degree or 72 quarter credits OR ParaPro test

Experience working with culturally diverse families and communities

Ability to communicate effectively

Ability to work in a dynamic, interruptive environment
