Job Description

The Paraeducator supports classroom teachers in providing instruction and supervision to students in a general education setting. This role assists with academic, behavioral, and organizational support to help ensure a positive and productive learning environment for all students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities and lesson implementation
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to reinforce learning concepts
• Help supervise students in the classroom, hallways, lunchroom, recess, and other school settings
• Support classroom management and positive student behavior
• Assist with preparing instructional materials and organizing classroom resources
• Monitor and document student progress as directed by the teacher
• Provide support to students with diverse learning needs
• Assist students with organization, task completion, and study skills
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student success
