Parachute Rigger Role

As a Parachute Rigger, you'll ensure the safety of every paratrooper by inspecting, testing, and packing parachutes and their associated systems. Your responsibilities include:

  • Safety and repair of parachute equipment before, during, and after an airdrop
  • Assembling rigging components
  • Securing supplies in the aircraft
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
  • Age: 17-34 years
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must meet tattoo guidelines
  • No major law violations
  • No significant medical concerns
Training & Certifications
  • 5 Nationally Recognized Certifications Available
  • 10 weeks of Basic Training
  • 12 weeks of Advanced Individual Training
  • 78 ASVAB Score: General Maintenance (GM)
  • 77 ASVAB Score: Combat (CO)
