Job Primary Purpose
Help meet physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom. Assist in implementation of classroom programs, including self-help, behavior management, and instruction programs. Work under general supervision of principal and immediate direction of certified teacher.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Valid Texas educational aide certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to work with children with disabilities
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Effective communication skills
Knowledge of general office equipment
Experience:
Experience working with children, including in church-related schools, day camps, youth groups, private schools, licensed day-care centers, or similar settings.
Work Schedule: 187 days. This is a .5 Resource/Inclusion Para and .5 Nurse Clinic Aide position.
Salary: Pay Grade 3 / Clerical/Paraprofessional Hiring Schedule.
