Job summary

Bell & Evans is seeking a Tavil Scale Operator to help weigh, label, and prepare poultry products for shipment. You will verify tray counts, apply correct labels and dates, and handle packaging including Organic and RWA boxes. Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or production experience is preferred, but not required.
• Experience operating weighing or labeling equipment is a plus.
• No formal education is required.
• English and/or Spanish language abilities are helpful.

Responsibilities

• Weigh and label product cases accurately before boxing and shipment.
• Verify tray counts and ensure correct labels and production dates.
• Identify products and use appropriate packaging, including Organic and RWA boxes.
• Operate weight-price labeling machine and verify printed information.
• Ensure all case labels match product and master case data.
• Change label rolls and perform basic maintenance of labeling equipment.
• Clean and maintain the scale and work area after each shift.
• Assist with hand-stacking and palletizing cases up to 50 pounds when needed.
• Report and address any safety or quality concerns immediately.
• Follow company policies, GMPs, and food safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

In this role, you will help ensure our products are accurately weighed, labeled, and prepared for shipment while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.

What You'll Do

• Weigh and label product cases accurately before they are boxed and prepared for shipment.
• Verify tray counts and ensure the correct labels and production dates are applied.
• Identify products and use the appropriate packaging, including Organic and RWA (Raised Without Antibiotics) boxes.
• Operate the weight-price labeling machine and verify that all printed information is accurate.
• Ensure all case labels match the product and master case label information.
• Change label rolls and perform basic maintenance of labeling equipment as needed.
• Clean and maintain the scale and work area at the end of each shift.
• Assist with hand-stacking and palletizing cases weighing up to 50 pounds when production requires.
• Immediately report and address any food safety, quality, or workplace safety concerns.
• Follow all company policies, food safety standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English and/or Spanish.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, work instructions, and operating procedures.
• Ability to complete routine documentation and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
