Job summary

Medical Mutual Of Ohio is seeking a Compliance Analyst II to gather statutes and regulations and compile compliance data for product filings to regulatory agencies. You will support workflows for regulatory changes and respond to filing objections, ensuring robust change management and stakeholder collaboration.

The role requires reviewing forms and processes with business and legal partners, plus QA of procedures to monitor compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; alternatives considered.
  • 2 years of experience as a Compliance Analyst or equivalent in financial services, preferably health insurance.

Job description

Compliance Analyst II (PAR) – (2400314)

Responsibilities
  • Gather applicable statutes, regulations and documentation and compile and report compliance data for product filings to regulatory agencies.
  • Support workflow associated with statutory and regulatory changes, following new or enhanced processes based on research.
  • Assist with responding to state product filing objections.
  • Administer standard regulatory change management, including issue identification, collaboration with the business on requirements, and documentation.
  • Maintain relationships with assigned business unit stakeholders.
  • Conduct quality assurance and monitor compliance of business procedures and products, including the development, enhancement, and documentation of processes.
  • Support oversight and management of identified non‑compliance, including the development, enhancement, and documentation of processes.
  • Support review of forms and processes, including research, analysis, and collaboration with business and legal partners; recommend updates and/or process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare administration, audit, law, or related field.
  • In lieu of a degree, may consider equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
  • 2 years of experience as a Compliance Analyst or equivalent experience in financial services, preferably health insurance.
Professional Certification
  • Certified Compliance Management Professional (CCEP) coursework is a plus.
Technical Skills and Knowledge
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks and insurance regulations.
  • Knowledge of due diligence and audit processes.
  • Knowledge of industry‑standard programs of insurance, including coverage concepts, rating procedures, and underwriting philosophies.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office and compliance software (OneSumX) skills.
  • Proficiency with System for Electronic Rate & Form Filing (SERFF) or similar software.
