Job summary

Ox Industries, Inc. in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a Paper Tube Winder/Machine Operator to join the Winding department. You will properly set up equipment to wind tubes and cores, manufacture products according to order specifications, and check quality on every order.

You will fill out quality and production sheets and maintain a tidy, safe work area in compliance with all safety policies. Candidates should have paper industry experience and a solid safety record.

Qualifications

• Paper industry experience required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to stand for long shifts and assist with heavy lifting.

Job Title: Paper Tube Winder/Machine Operator

Department: Winding

Reports To: Production Manager, Texas Facility

General Purpose of Position:

Responsible for all of the necessary functions to manufacture tubes and cores.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Properly set up equipment to wind tubes and cores
• Manufacture tubes and cores according to order specifications
• Check quality on every order, fill out quality and production sheets and any other necessary paperwork
• Keep area around machine and all equipment clean and properly maintained
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED preferred. Less than high school education with up to one month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to be on their feet for up to 12 hours per day. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, with assistance if required.
