Smurfit Westrock’s Roanoke Rapids, NC location seeks a Production Supervisor for Paper and Shipping. You will lead daily operations of two paper machines and shipping, driving safety, quality, and efficiency across shifts.

Qualified candidates typically hold an engineering degree, 3–8 years in paper manufacturing, and prior supervisory exposure, with preference for unionized settings. Rotating shifts with weekends/holidays are required.

Qualifikationen

• B.S. degree in Engineering or related field preferred, will consider candidate with equivalent on the job experience.
• 3 to 8 years’ experience in Paper Manufacturing.
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Demonstrated strong leadership and ability to improve employee engagement.
• Experience in a unionized location preferred.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts with complex on/off patterns.

Aufgaben

• Demonstrates safety leadership and safe work practices for all crew members.
• Ensures environmental compliance and supports environmental initiatives.
• Maintains product quality and crew workmanship to meet specs.
• Manages crews and equipment to maximize reliability and machine efficiency; troubleshoots issues.
• Provides leadership and coaching to rotating shift crews in Paper and Shipping.
• Trains crew members to maximize operator proficiency.
• Initiates and supports safety, environmental, and quality investigations.
• Communicates production information and issues across teams.
• Directs shift mechanical and electrical maintenance resources.
• Supports planning and execution of machine outages and housekeeping.
