Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read the production log to determine daily tasks and cut cores to exact sizes.
• Assist in transferring finished paper reels from the paper machine to the winder.
• Thread the winder with guidance from the Winder Operator.
• Assist with paper machine startups and threading processes.
• Ensure accurate setup of winder slitters and saw adjustments to meet specifications.
• Remove defects from finished rolls and prepare for transport to finishing or furnish prep.
• Unload rolls in the finishing department and place them on the conveyor.
• Complete daily tug inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working order.
