Job summary

Sonoco is hiring a General Laborer for its Paper Mill plant in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and requires physical work, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to operate various machines.

You will be part of a rotating shift schedule and eligible for a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan. Prior paper industry experience helps, but a strong work ethic and problem-solving mindset are valued highly.

Qualifications

• Must meet physical and vision requirements and obtain Power Truck Operator license.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with multiple teams.
• Read and understand manufacturing instructions and use measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with other departments and teams.
• Troubleshoot problems and react quickly to situations.
• Monitor and report quality of manufactured product.
• Set up new jobs and operate various machines with safety in mind.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform duties as designated by supervisor/manager.
• Support Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.
• Assist other departments as needed.
