Job summary

IPG is seeking a Process Engineer for its Blythewood, SC paper manufacturing site to provide process engineering support across operations and serve as the technical expert for paper-related production issues. Immediate supervisor: Engineering Manager. Location: On-Site at Blythewood facility.

You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality to improve product quality, yield, and machine performance while driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting new product trials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Paper Science, Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper or related field.
• 3+ years in process engineering within paper manufacturing or related environment.
• Strong understanding of paper processes and optimization techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Support process improvement across manufacturing operations and production equipment.
• Serve as technical resource for paper manufacturing processes and challenges.
• Investigate machine performance issues, identify root causes, implement solutions.
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Lead continuous improvement projects focused on waste reduction and efficiency.
