Job summary

Enhance Recruiting is seeking a Paper Machine Superintendent/Supervisor in the north Richmond, VA area to lead daily operations, ensure safety, quality, delivery and efficiency, and drive improvements. The role requires a bachelor's in engineering, 5–8+ years in paper manufacturing, and proven leadership of supervisors and hourly teams; relocation assistance and a broad benefits package are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8+ years of progressive experience in paper manufacturing
• Proven leadership experience managing supervisors and production teams
• Strong technical understanding of paper machine operations
• Demonstrated ability to drive results and continuous improvement
• Experience in a Superintendent or Production Supervisor role
• Exposure to reliability programs or manufacturing excellence systems

Responsibilities

• Drive execution of daily management systems, including structured shift handovers and production reviews.
• Monitor performance, identify losses, and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and develop frontline supervisors and hourly employees to build capability and accountability.
• Champion a strong safety culture through visible leadership, audits, and incident investigations.
• Partner closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve reliability and process performance.
