Inteplast Group in Houston, TX is seeking a Bag Machine Operator B to run and maintain paper bag machinery, set up, calibrate, and monitor production for quality results. A basic understanding of data entry and machine control interfaces, plus strong communication, is preferred.

The role requires working a 2-2-3 schedule with 12-hour day/night rotations, lifting up to 50 pounds, and collaborating with maintenance and QA teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.
• 6 months to 3 years of experience as a Machine Operator in paper bags or similar manufacturing environment.
• Willing to work 2-2-3 schedule with 12-hour shifts and day/night rotation.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds routinely.
• Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and machine control interface operations.
• Willing to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.

Responsabilités

• Machine Setup and Calibration: Proficient in setting up, processing, and calibrating paper bag machinery to product specs and production requirements.
• Adjust machine settings (glue, speed, pressure) for optimal conditions.
• Operate and adjust multiple paper bag machines; cover for technicians as needed.
• Quality Control: Inspect bags for defects and adjust machinery to maintain quality.
• Auditing quality tests using electronic machines and visual inspections.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve equipment issues; perform minor repairs and report problems.
• Documentation: Maintain production records including machine settings and production rates; report deviations.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and report incidents promptly.
• Team Collaboration: Work with operators, QA, and maintenance to optimize efficiency and provide assistance as needed.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives to reduce waste and increase efficiency; may perform other duties.
