Job summary

Needs Inc. Food Pantry is seeking a Pantry Manager to oversee the daily operation of our food distribution programs, ensuring food is received, stored, tracked, and distributed safely and efficiently while maintaining a welcoming environment.

The role provides hands-on leadership to pantry staff and volunteers, manages inventory and food procurement, maintains program records, and ensures compliance with food-safety requirements. Strong organization and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations, warehousing, logistics, inventory management, or nonprofit services.
• Experience supervising staff or volunteers; ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pantry operations: receiving, stocking, storage, order prep, client distribution, closing procedures.
• Supervise, train, and support pantry staff and volunteers.
• Ensure readiness for daily distribution, seasonal demand, special programs, and emergency food needs.
• Provide hands-on assistance during busy periods or staffing shortages.
• Maintain relationships with Food Bank of Wyoming, grocery partners, donors, and community orgs.
• Model calm, professional leadership; communicate volunteer needs to admin.
• Protect client privacy and ensure services comply with policies.
