Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, CA is seeking a part-time dining services worker to assist in production, prep, and serving across campus locations and catering operations.
Under supervision, you will prepare vegetables and salads, assist in food production, and ensure safety by recording temperatures and following health guidelines. A ServSafe certification is required or must be obtained within three weeks of start date.
Under general supervision from the Senior Director for Dining Services and Facilities Events and with oversight from the Executive Chef, Assistant Managers of Dining Services, and Dining Services Supervisor, this position performs routine and non‑routine tasks related to the production, prepping, and serving of food in the college’s dining locations and catering operations.
Education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and ability for the position.
Regularly sit, stand, use hands and fingers, and talk or hear. Occasionally reach with hands and arms. Must regularly lift and/or carry up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Requires good close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Day, swing, and evening shifts; may vary or change at any time due to the needs of the College and department. Non‑exempt, part‑time, regular, benefits eligible.
Starting salary range is $25.00–$26.50 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
