Job summary

Hilton in New Orleans is seeking a Pantry Cook to join our culinary team. The role focuses on prepping, cooking, and presenting items in line with recipes, while keeping an organized, sanitary kitchen and ensuring timely guest orders.

You will demonstrate knowledge of menu items and techniques, stock stations, and conduct visual quality checks. Compliance with safety standards and collaboration with the team are essential for success in this fast-paced hotel kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food items according to designated recipes, presentation guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with all federal, state, local, and company food safety regulations.
  • Manage and execute guest orders in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Demonstrate full knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and culinary techniques.
  • Properly stock, maintain, and replenish all assigned stations throughout the shift.
  • Conduct visual checks of all food leaving the kitchen to ensure consistency, quality, and accuracy.
  • Follow correct food handling, storage, labeling, and rotation procedures at all times.
  • Assist with preparing daily requisitions and communicating supply needs to leadership as required.
  • Support kitchen operations by collaborating with team members and maintaining a positive, productive work environment.
  • Perform any additional duties as requested by culinary leadership.

What Will I Be Doing?

As a Pantry Cook, you will be responsible for performing the following duties to the highest standards:

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace: Keep designated food service stations stocked and sanitary while following proper food handling, storage, and safety protocols

  • Comply with regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member well-being
