Job summary

Columbus McKinnon is seeking a Wirer I to wire control panels in Menomonee Falls, WI. You will follow schematics, select the correct wires, and perform crimping and lugging to meet cost and quality targets.

You will inspect work with the Quality Checklist, complete paperwork, and adhere to safety standards. Requires reading blueprints and operating hand and power tools; lifting up to 40 lbs; 18 AWG–450 MCM wires.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable.
• Experience with wiring and panel assembly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders for correct parts and drawings.
• Follow schematics and layouts to wire panels to meet customer specifications.
• Ensure the use of the correct wires.
• Perform all crimping and lugging activities and ensure wire Ty-bases are in the correct locations per the company’s wiring standards.
• Ability to read and comprehend product specifications and blueprints.
• Complete and maintain required paperwork, records, and documentation.
• Follow and comply with all safety and work rules; maintain housekeeping standards.
