Job summary

All Systems Electrical, Inc. is seeking a detail‑oriented Panel Fabrication Technician to join our production team.

This role suits someone with hands‑on panel building or knowledge of switchgear and control panels who values high‑quality workmanship and safety. Using technical drawings and 3D models, you will collaborate with our fabrication team to build automation control panels, switchboards, and panelboards that meet industry standards for quality and reliability.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Panel building experience or working knowledge of switchgear and control panels preferred.
  • Electrical experience or technical schooling preferred.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
  • CNC operation, 3D modeling, or basic drafting knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble control panels, switchgear panels, panelboards following drawings and work instructions.
  • Wire simple and complex circuits using hand tools and schematics.
  • Fabricate and assemble switchboard sections and panelboards using 3D models and design drawings.
  • Operate powered tools (drills, drivers, jigsaws, grinders).
  • Program, load, and operate CNC equipment and fiber laser systems.
  • Test panel components with electrical test equipment.
  • Handle materials, staging, shipping, and receiving duties.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow PPE and OSHA policies.
  • Travel may be required for field panel work during peak seasons.

Job description

All Systems Electrical (ASE) is seeking a detail‑oriented Panel Fabrication Technician to join our production team. This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on panel‑building experience or a working knowledge of switchgear and control panels who takes pride in high‑quality workmanship and safety.

Using technical drawings and 3D models, you will collaborate with our fabrication team to build automation control panels, switchboards, and panelboards that meet and exceed industry standards for quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble control panels, switchgear panels, panelboards, and related electrical equipment following technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Wire simple and complex circuits using hand tools and electrical schematics.
  • Fabricate and assemble custom‑built switchboard sections and panelboards using 3D models and design drawings.
  • Operate powered tools such as drills, impact drivers, jigsaws, and angle grinders.
  • Program, load, and operate CNC equipment, including a fiber laser, press brake, enclosure modification center, and rotary engraver.
  • Test panel components using electrical test equipment (voltmeters, dielectric voltage testers, etc.).
  • Perform material handling, staging, shipping, and receiving duties.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all shop housekeeping standards.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies, including required PPE.
  • Travel may be required for field panel work during peak seasons.
Job Requirements
  • Full‑time position, 40+ hours per week.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a production team.
Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Panel building experience or working knowledge of switchgear and control panels strongly preferred.
  • Previous electrical experience or technical schooling preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
  • CNC operation, 3D modeling, or basic drafting knowledge is a plus but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Self‑starter with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Must pass background check, drug screen, and E‑Verify.
Working Conditions
  • Primarily indoor shop environment with occasional outdoor work.
  • Standing and working up to 12 hours per day.
  • Work near high and low voltage electrical systems.
  • Exposure to dust, heat, cold, fumes, and other shop conditions.
  • Ability to adapt to varying warehouse temperatures.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a loud, fast‑paced shop environment.
  • Ability to work overhead, in tight spaces, on ladders, and in awkward positions.
  • Regular use of vibrating and power tools.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle occasionally stressful workloads.
