Job summary

Ōnin Staffing is hiring for a Panel Builder to assemble electrical panels and related subassemblies for automated equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role requires reading electrical schematics, wiring layouts, and production instructions, with opportunities for overtime and career growth through training and mentorship.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school training or related hands-on experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; able to read schematics.
  • Experience in electrical panel building and manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Familiar with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and team‑oriented.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies used in automated equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring layouts, and production instructions.
  • Route, label, terminate, and organize wiring to ensure accurate electrical connections.
  • Install electrical components such as relays, switches, sensors, breakers, power supplies, and terminal blocks.
  • Perform electrical testing and assist with system verification procedures.
  • Troubleshoot wiring issues and identify corrective actions when needed.
  • Verify the functionality of sensors, switches, and other electrical devices.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to complete assembly tasks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and assembly teams to support equipment builds and project completion.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts focused on quality, efficiency, and workplace safety.

What You’ll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:

  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions
  • Experience with electrical assembly, panel building, manufacturing, or industrial production environments preferred
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Dependable attendance and a positive, team‑oriented attitude
  • Effective problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and perform physical assembly work throughout the shift
