Job summary

Stockport Truck Centre Limited is seeking a skilled Panel Beater / Body Repairer / Fabricator to repair and restore damaged commercial vehicle bodywork to its original condition. You will perform panel beating, fabrication, stripping and fitting, with MIG welding as essential, and you will work independently or as part of a team to ensure high-quality finishes.

Hours are Monday to Friday, with overtime during busy periods; a strong attention to detail and a proven background in vehicle repair

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Body Repair or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Body repairs (panel beating / panel pulling /body filling).
• Fabrication (Modify trailers / rigid body repairs / builds).
• Strip/fit (Remove & refit panels / doors/ wings and associated components).
• Efficient and conscientious worker.
• Abilities or qualification in welding (MIG) essential.
• Carry out chassis jig repairs.
• Duties to include the use of hand tools, pistol drills, riveters, MIG welders, and Oxy - Acetylene torches.

Duties
