Job summary

Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope is seeking a Business Manager to support the Pancreatic Cancer Center. You will oversee operational and financial performance, lead budget forecasting, and drive efficiency across research operations and facilities.

The role partners with cross-functional teams to advance strategic priorities, manage resources, and ensure an exceptional patient and research stakeholder experience. A healthcare background is preferred, with advanced degrees encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business or related field required.
• MHA, MPH or MBA preferred.
• 3+ years of business/operations experience in healthcare preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-award research administration support for funded programs.
• Lead operational improvement initiatives to enhance access, quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.
• Oversee facilities, space planning, capital projects, and vendor contracts.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, IT, Facilities, Supply Chain and Hospital Administration.
• Develop and manage operating and capital budgets, forecast revenue and expenses.
• Monitor financial performance and ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation.
• Analyze operational, financial, and workforce data to identify trends.
• Create dashboards and develop business cases for new programs and capital investments.
