GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Identity Governance Principal is responsible for enabling the secure, compliant, and efficient management of privileged access across the Bank. This is an advanced professional role, which works with management and business partners to ensure alignment of Privileged Access Management policies, processes and tools with industry/regulatory requirements and best practices. This position is responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of PAM strategies at Fifth Third Bank. Additionally, this position will collaborate closely with the Identity team to document key IAM processes, ensuring comprehensive audit readiness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with definition and prioritization of PAM program roadmap.
  • Define and manage PAM policies, standards, and process documentation. Incorporate industry/regulatory requirements and best practices into PAM policies and standards.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures for key IAM and PAM processes.
  • Ensure PAM processes and tools are built in accordance with Bank requirements.
  • Coordinate and lead responses to internal and external audits and exams.
  • Plan and coordinate issue remediation and closure.
  • Identify and implement security, compliance, and operational improvements to PAM processes.
  • Assume a leadership role on IAM initiatives, as needed.
  • Provide Identity Governance support for strategic initiatives, as needed.
  • Other duties as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Process and internal controls-oriented background.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment and interacting with auditors and examiners.
  • Strong knowledge of industry and regulatory requirements, such as FFIEC, GLBA, PCI and HIPAA.
  • Solid understanding of IS/IT GRC principles and frameworks, such as NIST SP 800-53, NIST CSF, ISO, ITIL, and COBIT.
  • Experience with BeyondTrust PasswordSafe, SailPoint, Okta, and Ping products.
  • Proficiency with MS Sharepoint, MS Power Platform, MS Office Suite and O365, especially MS Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with privileged access management, single sign-on, identity federation, multi-factor authentication, user provisioning, access certifications, identity analytics, and role-based access control and cloud security platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple, diverse tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize work; strong organizational skills in a results-oriented environment.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, problem solving, conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work at a high level of autonomy in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • CISA or CISSP preferred.
  • Financial services experience preferred.
