Job Description

To maintain the highest standards possible for the guest by ensuring quick, efficient, and professional service to ensure satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with guests and associates.
  • Listen to, understand, and clarify concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
  • Remain professional in all situations.
  • Understand and adhere to proper uniform and grooming standards.
  • Ensure lobby public areas are maintained and cleaned by liaising with the housekeeping department.
  • Assist with monthly inventory.
  • Adhere to all policies regarding employee purchases.
  • Follow proper procedures for accepting credit cards and checks.
  • Maintain a cash bank.
  • Verify guest room numbers for room charges.
  • Interact with other departments to ensure guest needs are satisfied.
  • Adhere to proper food handling procedures.
  • Know the proper use and safety procedures for equipment such as coffee makers, toasters, microwaves, beverage machines, dishware, silverware, glassware, carts, telephones, photocopying machines, refrigerators, and room service tables.
  • Operate general office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, hole punches, paper cutters, scissors, pens, pencils, and paper.
  • Utilize computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., and corporate software like Kronos WFC, Open Table, Synergy, and Epitome.
  • Work within the interior of the hotel, including the restaurant, kitchen, and guest rooms, with exposure to extreme temperatures and cleaning chemicals.
Qualifications

Required Skills:
