Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong hospitality experience.
• Recruiting experience preferred.
• Five years of food & beverage experience preferred.
• Two years of progressive management experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and monitor colleagues.
• Prepare daily schedules.
• Ensure consistent quality standards are achieved.
• Calculate servers’ gratuities.
• Perform inventories of food and capital goods; rotate stock.
• Discipline and counsel staff as needed.
• Attend to and anticipate guests’ needs.
• Write and complete reports on colleague and guest activities.
• Oversee cash and credit card transactions.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel amenities, services, outlets, and hours.
• Achieve objectives through direction and delegation.
• Observe standards for image, appearance, and grooming; represent the company professionally.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of guest and hotel information.

Position Summary

The ideal Palmetto Cafe Assistant Manager candidate will assist in a first line management capacity, administering policies, procedures, functions and activities of the, to include but not limited to people and culture, payroll functions, full responsibility for dining room operation in absence of the restaurant manager. Will also include cross marketing of restaurant with other hotel departments, sales, and service of group dining as well as dining room maintenance and service staff training.

Role Responsibilities
