Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for the Supportive Care Medicine – Outpatient Palliative Care team at Speros. You will work with physicians and specialists to deliver comprehensive patient care in an outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate is a clinical professional with strong communication, teamwork, and patient-focused approach, committed to advancing cancer care through collaboration and evidence-based practice.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree at minimum; master's degree preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant program.
• Active FL medical license (or ability to obtain one) and certification by the appropriate accreditation body.
• Active BLS.
• Experience in oncology or general internal medicine; specialty experience preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Provides patient care as a member of an interdisciplinary team, coordinating with specialists.
• Correlates data to formulate differential or working diagnosis.
• Forms treatment plans within scope of practice.
• May perform minor surgical procedures within scope of practice.
• Prescribes oral and IV medications when appropriate, within scope of practice.
• Documents patient care in accordance with medical staff rules.

Summary

Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Supportive Care Medicine - Outpatient Palliative Care - Moffitt at Speros

Based in the Supportive Care Medicine Department, the outpatient palliative care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides patient care under the auspices of the Moffitt Medical Group (MMG), and serves as member of the academic medical enterprise; advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer.

Position Highlights

• Assists physicians with the evaluation, management and treatment of a wide spectrum of patients with different medical problems, procedures and co-morbidities.
• Works within a defined scope of practice and under the authority of supervising physician(s) or by specific protocol(s).

Credentials And Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree at minimum; master's degree preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant program.
• Active FL medical license (or the ability to obtain one) and certification by the appropriate accreditation body.
• Active BLS.
• Experience in oncology or general internal medicine; experience specific to the specialty is preferred but not required.

Salary Range

$131,892.80 - $201,052.80

Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
