Job summary

The University of Miami seeks a physician in the clinical track to provide direct patient medical care for adults on Palliative services. The role includes teaching medical students, residents, and fellows and leading an educational or administrative project within the Division of Geriatric Medicine.

Responsibilities include hospital consultations, outpatient care, involvement in quality improvement, committee work, education, and pursuing research to advance the Hospice and Palliative Medicine

Qualifications

MD or DO from ABIM-recognized internal medicine residency.
Florida medical license or eligible to apply.
Board certification in Internal Medicine; eligible in Geriatric/Geriatric Medicine.

Responsibilities

Provide direct medical care to adult patients on Palliative services.
Involve medical student, resident and fellow education.
Lead an educational or administrative project within the Division of Geriatric Medicine.
Consult hospitalized patients on any service and in outpatient settings.
Participate in quality improvement activities and committee work.
Support development of the Hospice and Palliative Medicine program.
Pursue independent academic projects such as research.

Education

M.D./D.O. degree from ABIM-recognized internal medicine residency

Florida Medical License (or eligible)

ABIM certification in Internal Medicine (or eligible in Geriatric Medicine)
